The 0.5 % palladium on aluminum oxide (K-2106) catalyst consists of aluminum oxide spheres with a high surface area. The catalyst is used in many areas of selective hydrogenation. The catalyst is available with different loadings. After use, the catalyst can be returned to Heraeus for recycling the most valuable precious metals.
