Heraeus catalyst type K-02103 is a palladium-on-alumina catalyst. It is available with contents ranging from 0,3 to 0,4 wt. %. Through selective hydrogenation of these poly-unsaturated compounds a stable, high octane gasoline is achieved. Heraeus catalyst type K-02103 offers excellent activity and selectivity for this application in combination with low density and very high crush strength. The used catalyst can be returned to Heraeus for recycling of the precious metals.
