Benefits and Applications

The palladium, 0.15%; platinum, 0.15% on aluminum oxide (K-02120) is a bimetallic Pd/Pt catalyst  on an aluminum oxide support. The catalyst is used to purify inert gases (N2, CO2), especially in the thermal treatment of polymers (PET, nylon) in the Solid State Polycondensation Process (SSP). Furthermore, the Pd / Pt catalyst is used for VOC oxidation in exhaust gases from chemical plants as well as for the oxidation of all types of VOC, especially aromatics and oxygen-containing molecules.
